Post checked rear ride hieght

hey guys,

i just was feeling a little odd looking at my car today..and just wanted to clear my doubts..

bought a scale and measured the hieght distance at the rear from my tire to the fender.. and the distance is different on the left side than the ride side.. but when looking at either sides...it looks normal..

is this normal or do i have a bad shock ?

You are measuring in the wrong place.

Do a search, this has been discussed many, many times. Even within the last week. If that doesn't work get a manual and you will see that it specifies that you measure the ride height at certain places on the chassis, not the fender well.

Seve
Our cars were hand assembled. There are frequently slight differences in fender heights from side to side & that's nothing to be concerned about. If you actually want to compare heights you should measure from level ground to suspension components, not body pieces.

Singh,
I was doing the samething as you were doing, and appearantly thats the wrong way to measure. Seems like they were drunk when they were hand assembling my car then.
