Immobilizer Deactivating in Bentley Manual
I recently purchased the Bentley Manual, which is awesome. There is a small section saying you can turn off the Immobilizer with a code (and key cycling) that you receive when you purchase your 993 new or get it through Porsche with proof of ownership.
In the book it talks about in case of remote key, immobilizer, or central locking malfunction to do this procedure but does not say if it's a temporary one time use or turns off completely, it does say when done the alarm system and central locking are now unlocked. Anyone know?

Hi NNT,
This is so one can start their car without a working fob if the immobilizer is active so one is not stranded.
The procedure to do it is part of the procedure on this page under "Setup steps if you have no working fob":
https://993servicerepair.blogspot.co...ming-made.html
It only works until the alarm/immobilizer goes active as a normal function. It is not a permanent override.

^ Right. The procedure is also in your Owner's Manual if you need it (page 20 in mine).
