Curtis - '97 Targa

I've got my front bumper cover off to address a leak around the bumper shock absorber mount and noticed two wires with plugs that come off of the driver's side (left side) turn signal, parking, fog light harness. They have plugs on them that look much like the fog light plugs and are plugged into dummy plugs mounted to the aluminum part of the bumper. Any idea what these are for?

Don't have a firm answer but... When I got my 96 C4S back from the body shop after having the Euro front end w/ Turbo S ducts/lights installed, they evidently found another parking light harness and hooked the fog lights up to the parking harness. I would bet that the extra harness is wired to parking lights, since my fog lights now come on when the parking lights are turned on and not when the fog light switch is pulled. I find it curious that the harnesses are not unique (fog light harness is same as parking light harness). Hope this helps, I should know more after I correct my install.
