I belive the import taxes and duties for vehicles in HK are still lower compare with the Philippines.

1USD=around 7.76 HKD
But in philippines ,you can do a lot of tricks about those vehicles import taxes

JWKC, Good info. I would be curious to learn the tricks of the trades there in Phils.
Anyways, another curiousity of me...how much is their per hour rate for service there at PGA?

Yeah Chris, It is very common to see 100 to 200% taxes and duties on luxury and sport vehicles in developing countries. Quite often the engine size will dictate the tax bracket ( bigger the engine, bigger the tax).
Carrera Mike, my friend just took delivery of an SL55 in Hong Kong. Paid close to US$ 240,000. Absolutely crazy! He chose the SL55 because he can fit his golf bag in more easily.
Sorry, is this considered off-topic? I'm a newbie so I welcome any criticism and guidance.
Thanks and regards,
Bryan

Carrera Mike,
It's not that they don't want their citizens to have well engineered vehicles, but it is a source of rev for the govt and also many of these countries have too many cars to begin with. So one way around it is residents bring the cars in as "taxis"....put the taxi sign on the roof and run it for a couple of years, then they're fine...having gotten away from the 100% import tax.
