I used needle nose pliers to bend the ends up and cut the ends off. A little explanation... Rest it on the ends (flat part and curved end). Squeeze in middle and bend each side up. Need to play with length to trim off each side. Recall having to angle trim in the ends to fit in the tweeter housing. There is enough flex to work it into the housing. Easy to remove too if you don't like the fit.

Thanks for the help. I snapped every one of the springs I bought. Went with the hot glue.
