Post 13 is exactly what I’m talking about.

And of course, to each their own, but I prefer them as driving vehicles vs works of art.

I am starting to think about selling my '98 C2S.

While the price may continue to climb, I struggle with my stewardship of keeping it and not driving it as often as I probably should.

That BAT auction certain has me thinking. (Personally not the biggest fan of the interior or prior damage but can't argue with a $140k price plus taxes, tags, and title fees depending on the state. Not to mention possible shipping costs which could lead to a total well over 150k.)

First world problems for sure.

Hi SToronto,

I have a 98' C2S Zenith Blue with a tan interior. Sport seats (tan leather on black backs) and turbo twist wheels. (Along with the original Techno wheels)

67,XXX miles

Original paint and no mods. (Paint gauge measured 4.0 to 4.5 around the entire vehicle.) Typical chips in the hood.

Just got a clean bill of health from Chapman Autowerks in Sterling, VA.

Thanks.

Tim

Sounds very cool! I was just curious. My next one needs to be Arctic Silver on Black and I think I'll sit on the side until prices settle.

yes, was my first choice and landed on a Guards car. I do like Guards as I have Indischrot on my 930. But Arctic Silver looks so good on the 993...at least in pictures. not sure I've seen one in person.

In today's market, looks like $110k easy. If you can put up w/ the 'abuse' at BAT, add another $10k-$15k.
I assume you've a stick.

I wonder what will constitute as 'lower' miles in 10 yrs. <100K miles? That would put a car at 3500-4000 mi/yr, which is hardly driven. I suppose 100K with a documented rebuild (if only for 30+ yr old seal replacement) will be worth something.

The other thing is to drive the heck out of it, let the odometer roll over, and sell it as TMU? Something i always found interesting with the older cars with the 5 digit odometers all just list as TMU..no one even cares about the mileage on those anymore. Any 993 owners out there clocked over 999,999?

3500-4000 miles / year isn't exactly 'hardly driven'. Using your logic, 993s with low 90ks on odo are hardly driven. Buyers community would beg to differ.

For that, it's more like 2k per year max.

not sure how many keep an eye on pcarmarket also, but there's a very interesting 29k mile, '98 C2S listed there now.
4 days to go.

Thanks mdude.

Yes it is a six speed manual.

Was offered 90K two weeks ago. (Received a call from someone that found out I owned a '98 C2S.)

No idea if that was fair or not. (Hadn't really thought about it.)

Now I know why.

Just don't park next to a Polar silver car - the Arctic looks brown next to it

The offer was fair 5 mos ago. A start of year that is about $10k shy. Today, it's what I said earlier.

I'm not a big fan of the blue in Polar.
