What brand/model cameras do guys use for those great shots?

I'm new to digital photography. I have a great camera: Canon 10D (6.3 Mpixel, SLR). I usually use my Tokina 24-200mm lens. The camera is way more advanced than I am. But I'll grow into it... someday. A guy that's good with a point and shoot (Max comes to mind), can get better pictures than me. So far!
