Scam Alert
I found this ad on my local Craigslist (https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/wt...273606935.html). The price was $10,000 so I thought it was either a scam or a typo (maybe forgot a '0'), so I sent an email and found out pretty quickly it is a scam. Seller is moving to Canada immediately, needs to sell ASAP, car is in storage, will use eBay protection, blah blah...
I am just writing this here in case anyone actually owns this beautiful car, you should know. I put the VIN in Google but nothing really showed up except that someone on Rennlist (Jay777) once inquired about a VIN Sheet back in 2017, I have already PM'd him. '
Seller's' email is markstolner351@gmail.com and he has ~28 pics of the car. Below is his response.

Yep, that's my VIN. Looks like my car, too. Funny thing is I don't recognize the background. Can you post the pics, especially the rear view? My "S" is painted yellow and can't quite see it in the ad pic you attached. EBAY only has one of the pics now. Thanks for posting!

Definitely my car, circa 2015. Definitely a scam. The pics are from a 2015 EBAY ad. I bought the car in 2017 from the Rennlister who bought it on EBAY in 2015. The tip-off is the blemish on the bumper shown in the 4th pic from the bottom. Interesting it's on CL in AZ - that's where the car grew up.

Yes, as soon as the scammer says eBay will contact you outside of the communication facility on eBay's website you can be sure it is a fraud!
A rather audacious fraud.
I once was selling a very expensive camera through eBay and a fraudster contacted one of the unsuccessful bidders and told him he won the auction. The guy sent the fraudster $1400 via a local Western Union office and then called me angry that I had not shipped the camera yet.
It's kinda' like when the IRS calls you on the phone or through email. They never do this it is always through the US Postal system.

Seems like a lot of car for $10,000. Maybe he is underpricing his FRAUD and if he asked for say $45,750 he would draw more flies.

its understandable posting a vin when someone is trying to peddle a bad car, etc..but not when photos of a car that isn't even theirs are just taken off the internet ..and it doesn't take a genius to know anyone offering this car for $10,000 is a scammer lol

if this is your car you may want to ask the OP to edit his thread , there is no reason for him to post your vin# the scam is obvious and pics would suffice, now later on down the road you goto sell it, whenever anyone googles your vin it will come up "scam" not a good first impression. just my 2 cents..

I understand the spirit of your response. To clarify, The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) does contact taxpayers by U.S. Mail, both regular and certified, to provide many types of notices, including lien and levy notices. Internal Revenue Agents can also visit you at home or at your business to deliver either of the above notices or to interview you.
In a criminal matter, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will send one (1) or more "Special Agents" to your residence, place of business or anywhere you are known to frequent to conduct an interview or take you into custody.
