I have black Rennine stainless carrier in my 993 3.8l. I do not believe the are offering the older tubular.
Hmm. Not sure. They just updated their site two weeks ago. If you look under 993, they don't even list the stainless one. Only the tubular version or the reinforced stock carrier.
The stainless one is listed under 911 and in the notes says it can be used for 964/993 Turbos.
This one is "toast" for now but will see new life at some when I have nothing better to do. Either that or Andreas is offering to buy it. Apparently he doesn't have enough work doing Clewett serpentine conversions and control arm work and wants to take on this rehab, LOL!
Oh I'd like to take a crack at it, what with my 30-ton press, MIG welder, and shop full o' tools. Perhaps Mark can finance the purchase & shipping?

That's what I ended up doing. I was on the verge of going with the Rennline mounts over the Wevo after some feedback and reviews (was focused on those two because I wasn't sure I could justify paying double for the RS mounts) but in the end I got an excellent deal on some RS mounts that were only on a car for a few months before it went back to stock and was sold. $400 and it was a done deal.
Looking forward to getting both on but now I'm further down the rabbit hole of "while you're in there". Timing cover gasket refresh is on my radar. Have I mentioned that this started as a simple belt change? That lead me to a Clewett conversion, fan/housing refinish, discovery of blown mounts and a bent carrier.
I took my stock motor mounts off (RS mounts in now). You can see my mounts are blown and tweaked in the same direction that the ends on the carrier were bent (towards the right).
I put the new RS mounts in and the slight issue I have now is that since the old carrier and mounts were skewed to the right, when I lowered the motor it is offset to the right side by at least 1/2". So I need to coerce the motor up and to the left in order to get the bolts in the RS mounts to line up with the carrier. If anyone has any tips, please share. My immediate thought was a pry bar (somewhere?) while jacking the motor up.
