ceboyd,

Trust me - when Jen comes home this evening and reads this thread - somehow, I think you will have company...

That being said - I risk life and limb by posting to this same thread (and other parts - but we won't go there...).

As well - she also has ADMIN Access to these Forums - so, it may be that the 993 Forum has ONLY you and her posting in the future....

what DE events are you doing this summer? Perhaps we've been on the track together.

Also, I'm in the next town over.

Yes, Kim, the Mother Superior will be p.o.'d that she can't administer some spankings, 'cause the butts have already been kicked.

(Oops, mistake - never mess with a woman whose good with a shootin' iron.)

Pin,

My wife and I got a good chuckle out of your Friday humor. Thanks!

ceboyd,

I think your passion for cars is way cool.

I'm with Monique on the PC thing. Maybe because my family is very European, as well (German mom, French wife). My Dad is from India, and I think Apoo from the Simpsons is hilarious ("please to not feed peanuts to my god"). I think it's silly for other Indians to find him offensive, just like I don't get the Italian-Americans who lambast the Sopranos.

I have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and can confirm that most engineers are geeks. Some stereotypes are true, and our differences (man-woman, Northerner-Southerner, black-white, etc) can be a healthy source of humor if folks don't get too defensive about it.

Hope I get to play with you at a track sometime!

Unfortunately - it's out of both of our hands now... Like Melville's Captain Ahab - woe betide those that stand in the path of the rage....

So it would just be Jen, ceboyd and the Mother Superior posting on the 993 board?

Man, that just begs for a punch line, but I've already learned a lot from reading this thread.

(Do we have one of these thingies that's a wine spritzer?)

o.k. Without a calander in front of me, here is my best guess....

POSSIBLY Gingerman April 3rd OR 4th (opening weekend, open track)
Gingerman April 18th (100% sure on the date here)
Road America on May 8th (100% sure again on this date)
Blackhawk in June (I forget the dates)
Gingerman July 23
Grattan Sept 25th and 26th (I think that is right)
Gingerman October (I forget the date)

We'll be easy to spot in the speed yellow 993 and guards red 993

Different strokes for different folks...my wife saw this and laughed until she had tears in their eyes; I guess it helps to not be humor impaired.

Those images are really funny. Stereotypes and jokes are based on truth, or else they wouldn't be so funny.

Ms Boyd

thanks for the info

We'll be at speed at the same time, but usually on different tracks.

I'm doing mainly club races this year, but possibly the Chicago Region DE at Gingerman. Maybe we can meet and greet there.

A number of us will be doing the Road America DE over memorial day weekend.

If you can make it, stop by the Turtle Pond.

Some find us too sedate and refined for their tastes, but we enjoy ourselves.

Danny
I could never forget Patricia, or Kirsten. I was just playing off the three that had been mentioned so far.
