Post Downshifting a Tiptronic in a '97 C2S

The factory manual is not very clear as to whether the tip can be downshifted to first, without first coming to a complete stop. Does anyone know whether the tip is capable of downshifting to first at speed?

Thanks
Jim

Well I don't do it too often but I am able to do it. The problem I find with shifting down to first at speed though is getting down to a sufficiently slow speed to get a smooth shift. I find that if I'm higher than 15 mph or so I get a noticeable jolt. I know that the tiptronic wont let you downshift unless your speed is sufficiently slow for the gear you are changing to but I still dont like jolting the engine like that. But it is possible.
