Haha you're hilarious. Chiming in this thread with your first comment of "5 pages and hasn't bought yet".

No idea how you went about your purchase aside from what you finally bought. But would rather keep the thread to useful comments. If you want to parade about your purchase, start a new thread.

I agree with Gbos1. The C2S is a more preferred model than a C4S. With that said, I would take either since I do not have an S model.

Personally, I would be less picky if a car was priced for issues that can be fixed. If a car was price at a $15k discount and the job was say a timing chain cover leak, I would seriously consider it.

For issues that cannot be fixed like original/factory paint, they become trickier and the it boils down to personal choice.

Just trying to give you a reference point with facts.. but if you don't want those facts, then suit yourself...
but if you are just a tire kicker then no amount of encouragement from the folks on this site is going
to help....

I appreciate facts, for that I have been thankful.

You seem too preoccupied with passing unfounded judgement with multiple comments.

Not sure why you think I'm a tire kicker, is it because I haven't bought the accident cars, the 1996 ones, the white ones, the black on black ones, the C4 with 4K miles, can't afford yours because you have soooo many receipts?

I remember this car from 2015 or 2016...nice car. I think I am one of the few who actually like the aerokit.

It’s a rabbit hole. But honestly at 130k why don’t you add the 993 TT to your shopping list. Right now 150k will buy you a nice TT. They come loaded and they are blunt to go up with the prices of non turbo wide bodies doing what they’re doing. Just my 2 cents.

That's a thought and there certainly is a ton on the market. BAT had a seemingly good one, auction ending today I think. But lots to choose from all the way to $199k USD. People attempting to cash in I suppose.

Primary reason a Turbo is not a factor is budget. I also want to add a 992 GT3 Touring Manual this year, with hopefully PTS and CXX interior. So that will require some funds. Have to draw a line somewhere. Other reason is that I like the clean lines of a 911 and would want a 993 as such. I do have winged cars but preference is for 993 to be minus a wing.

I mentioned the one at EC on another thread, implying the asking is a bit high. Maybe the seller has to account for EC's fees (assuming it's a consignment).
The aero-kit is a to-each-according feature. That said, C2S are the only 993s that Porsche decided to put split grills on, so much so that many owners spent >$1k to upgrade theirs w/ aftermarket ones.
Evening including the hardbacks and being generous on valuation, this is a $110k-$115k car max.
As in the other thread, as an owner of a similar car, I'd be very happy to be proven wrong -- that is, until agreed value insurance renewal time...

They won't let it go for that, I know. It's consignment.

Default Sorry

But $110-115 won’t buy a 2S like this one. Published valuations do not factor private sales that are never seen. I own one of those.

Not sure $150K buys you a “nice TT”. Maybe, maybe not. That would be the low end of the market excluding cars with highly questionable stories. Also the TT brings with it much different running costs - maintenance is significantly higher. Even my buddies who don’t drive much find the maintenance on TT to be noteworthy.

On the main topics, I’m with those who are saying it’s tough to have a complete picture of the market because a lot of good cars trade hands w/o hitting the RL radar. Maybe most of the very best ones go that way. I reclaimed my C4S via private sale after having sold it privately! And, while there are always exceptions, I think $110K is probably near the low end of the target range on exceptional wide bodies at the moment. I know of cars trading at $135K in the last two weeks. Also a turquoise narrow body going for over $100K. Yikes!!!

My prediction this Spring and Summer 30% increase in excellent example 993 NB and WB cars.
