Post Clear Stone Guard Removal

Does anyone have any experience removing the clear stone guards located forward of the rear wheels? What's the best way to go about it? A portion of the left one has a loose edge and needs to be replaced. Thanks for your help.

When I replaced mine, I just pulled and they came right off. If they are tough, then use a heat gun or hair dryer - that ought to do it. Should be easy.

If they don't come off real easy, try the heat gun. If there is any adhesive left try using an eraser wheel. I just removed the stone guards fro my 86 951 in prep for new paint and found these steps and patience to be helpful. BTW Excellence had an article on this topic in the not too distant past. I will try to locate the issue. If you email your fax no., I will fax it to you.
