Default momo prototype wait time

So last week I placed an order for a custom Momo Prototipo steering wheel. I definitely want the smooth premium leather so the entire order becomes 'custom' and costs three times what I see them priced on various sites. I want what I want so I'm cool with the upcharge. The leather on that dash inches away is smooth, so I can't live with a pebbled steering wheel.

Today I got my order confirmation. The ship date is 14 weeks out. That is before we factor in shipping from Milan. Wondering if the long lead time is COVID related or if this is normal. Anyone order a custom wheel from the factory?

Thanks for the heads up. I was aware of that wheel. The odd thing is they only charge 40 something dollars for the smooth leather but they charge $612 for the standard black wheel with smooth leather and white parallel stitching. My thought is the Brushed black anodized spokes will go with the old school 993 interior. The carbon fiber would be the only glitz in my car.

I bought the carbon wheel and I really like it! Btw-it isn’t “sparks “ as the center photo showed, it is subdued. I also have the leather dash, I put some griots leather conditioner on the steering wheel last week and it is a very good match. Sorry about the watch photo, it was for the Rolex forum but it showed the wheel well.
