I didn't realize the soft back seats were ever offered from the factory on a 993. I've only seen the hardback ones stock. Were they a custom order or only available the first year during the transition from the 964?
The 964 sport seats are my favorite Porsche seats. I'd like to get a pair for my '96 993, and just wondering if that was something that could have been ordered from the factory in '96 instead of the hard backs (which I don't find nearly as comfortable).

I’m just wondering if you can rework regular 993 seats into sport seats. Thanks, you work is amazing. Keep it up.
There are other companies that do that conversion, unfortunately re-welding and touching a sport seat frame is in my not to do list, I only use OEM 964 sport seats which have the same frame as the soft back sport seats.

For those who have pm, I have sent proper response, I have been quite busy with 964/993 seats and as I shared with you guys the problem is the scarcity of 964 oem sport seats and the outrageous prices they are asking, I just completed a few seats for Garrity at Motorsports Utah, also some for Jimmy at JS Independent Porsche in Daily City, and I'm doing a singer style for one of our fellow 930 listers. I have been sourcing seats from UK, but shipping and the Euro conversion to dollars is not friendly on any savings. I'll keep you posted.
