Ok, I am an idot. I pulled of my first strut (righthand side) without noting the orientation of the red dot. As I attempted to insert the strut in to the shock tower, I knew the manual stated red not forward so the shock would be off center toward the rear. But, it would not mate up, the four bolts would not go all the way through the shock tower. However, If I rotate the "perch" so the red dot faces the rear it drops in, and the shock is in fact off center toward the rear of the car. Is the dot off, or am I off??
