Exclamation Porsche Brake Pad sale

Guys,

Just a note - I went by my local dealership to pick up some OEM brake pads yesterday and had a pleasant surprise.

Pads were on sale - only bought fronts and paid $40 for a set. I bought 2 sets for $80. Was told it was a Porsche sale so you may be able to get a similar deal.

That is indeed a great deal. I thought I got a good deal from Sunset Imports for $88 for fronts (in the Porsche box)..

How have you been Phil?

Hey Chris,
88 is a deal ! But damn 40 bucks??
I've been good. You?
What is your track schedule like for the rest of the year?
I am doing all the POC STS events, TracQuest in April, and I may do some karting at Jim Hall in Ventura.

You know I thought they were about $125 last time I bought them?

Larry (parts manager) pulls up the ticket and say "you might want to buy all my stock". Really? What gives? $39.99 a set!

It's great to have cool folks working the parts desk at the dealership.

On a similar note - they are selling a full front & rear Big Red upgrade for $2200 - rotors, pads, calipers, new bolts, all OEM hardware. Also not bad. Would have done it but am waiting for next rotor replace to do the Big Reds.

Looks like I'm going to have to pop into Boardwalk tomorrow morning! Just as well I'm putting 993 brakes on my old car!

Thanks Ben for this!

Small world - I'm also about 10mins from there!

I need to work out with "she-who-must-be-obeyed" what time I can get there - between a school fete; a soccer tournie and my trying to get to the Stars game in the afternoon, I may not control all my destiny tomorrow - but it would be good to hook up.

Would someone mind picking me up a set of rear pads? I will be happy to pay for the pads and shipping up front.

Ruairidh,

Sounds like a hectic day - we can meet up some other time. Do you do any Maverick region events, social or driving? I'm fairly active on the DE front.

Danny, Graham

I think this is a PCNA sale so it should be available from any authorized dealer - even some of the mail-order dealerships. Perhaps someone should call the cost + 10% no tax Oregon guys. I think that's Suncoast, right?

What's their number and do they have rotors on sale, too?

Ben, I am not in the US so I do not have access to this price, so if someone wouldn't mind that would be helpful

(for a narrow body C4)
