Default And Yet Another Oil Question

When topping off my oil level, am I ok using 5W-30W Mobil One? To be clear, my question relates to adding oil not an oil change.

Thank you

Assuming you’re using Mobil One in the engine now but just a different weight then you’re totally fine.

I wouldn’t mix brands of oil in my P car.

Hi Harry,
As Mike says,
This is OK as there are 12 quarts of oil in the engine and adding even a quart or two will not significantly alter the effective viscosity properties of the oil fill. I don't even have a concern about it being the same brand as long as it is the same API specification as specified by Porsche for our cars.

Generic response - brands should be specs like Andy said. His response is more accurate.

I use Motul now in the two P cars and was thinking I wouldn’t top off with Mobil One. But I’d specs are the same I guess I could.
