Really bad form for an employee of PCARMARKET to set up another account and try to defect the issue at hand. Will discuss with the moderator group.
wow, so employees of pcar market got busted for making multiple accounts just to bash bat lol, this just keeps getting worse and proves what level that shady pcar operates at.
My biggest gripes with PCARMARKET are many, but the fact that the users are not "searchable" to see their history on the site regarding comments, bids, listings, etc, makes me think the accounts may more likely be made by PCARMARKET themselves or people associated with the sellers. No comments from anyone or questions from the bidders are very revealing.
...another very negative review of PCarMarket and Adam Hill. Very arrogant and unprofessional. Clearly just motivated to sell regardless of actual value of the vehicle so they can get their 5%.
I was the runner up bidder on a car there. Probably 5 minutes after the auction ended they called my cell phone to tell me the winner backed out and asked me if I wanted it. I was really considering doing it, but they seemed unusually pushy which seemed a little suspect. l said something about lack of documentation on some work on the car holding me back. Shortly after that they said that they had it, but forgot to post it to the ad, so I said send it to me to review before I decide if I want the car. They sent me documents for a car with a different VIN. I pointed it out and asked if they could send the correct info. It was radio silence after that. Maybe it was all innocent, but there were enough red flags that I had not interest in going farther.

In my experience, if it was innocent they would have apologized and set the correct information.
At the end of the day, these are used car salespeople we are talking about. If the shoe fits . . .
Pcarmarket - Buyers and Sellers beware. Trust, transparency and an accurate description is essential to a good online purchase. That is especially true when buying a high dollar item such as a used car. I blame the seller for no communication after the sale, deceptive photos and descriptions along with flat out fabrications regarding the smogability of the car. More to the point I blame PCarmarket for their grab the money and run attitude surrounding this sale, I blame PCarmarket for not vetting the seller and I blame PCarmaket for being nothing more than a cheesy online used car lot, They are not the high end auction house they are attempting to impersonate. They will happily and mind you very quickly take the buyer's money, but if an issue arises regarding the sale or the seller they will ghost you. The car arrived damaged, was it improperly described or photographed or was it damaged in transit, who knows because the seller and PCarmarket failed to communicate or attempt to resolve the issues. Then the Cayenne would not pass several smog tests and required repairs totaling over $2300.00 plus other additional expenses. Online auctions are the future of car sales but PCarmarket is not and should not be part of that future. Find a reputable online auction company, car buyers and sellers beware and avoid PCarmarket.

Thanks to the OP for posting this. I've been searching for a 993 and found the PCARMARKET site to lack some of the transparency one gets with BaT (being able to search users comments, bid and sale history, etc.). I've sold a car on BaT and never had any of the issues OP mentioned here.
I met the owner at Werks in Monterey was a brief but cordial conversation. What I find is their live chat's on YT just seem less than professional. Last, a friend of mine sold his 356 Outlaw on PCar and the experience was satisfactory.
After winning a bid on a car that didn't hit reserve...I swore I'd never buy or sell from that site...they were rude and unprofessional. I've bought many cars in my life and frankly I found them to be the most rude I've ever experienced. Maybe they are under a lot of pressure to bring in the capital who knows...but they are going about it the wrong way and lost me forever.
This exact thing happened to me, really bad experience and right now I’m battling to get my $5000 back on a winning bid I never consented. They put in my bid under my account and updated website to show auction was won but originally auction ended without reaching reserve.

very similar experience here but only difference is they are holding my $5000 hostage. Shady business!
Listed my Carrera T, high bid was only $90k which failed to meet reserve.
Had offers in hand from rennlisters for over $100k at this point.
Received a phone call immediately after auction asking me to allow them to move car to deal tank and broker a deal. Understandable, but I declined as the auction was over and I had multiple buyers interested.
That was not ok and I was informed I would be held to “the terms of our agreement” which included I would put the car in their deal tank. It was a very aggressive call and approach.
I called bull**** and sold the car privately.
We had an email exchange which ended ok - but unfortunately I would not list or buy based on my experience… attached is my last note to Pcar which sums up my experience.
Id like to hope they have changed and treat customers with more respect these days.
