Question Clutch replacement cost?

My clutch is approaching the end of it's useful life, and I couldn't find anything on Robin's DIY page about how to change it. I've never changed a clutch myself, and I'm not sure that a 993 is the best car to learn on.

So, it may be time for a visit to the dealer. Before I go, I would love to hear what you guys and gals have paid for a clutch replacement, and any comments or suggestions related to that.

This is on a C2 non-turbo coupe.

Thanks!

Michael

What a perfect time to go to the 993RS CS (Club Sport) clutch and lightened flywheel. ANDIAL, Santa Ana, CA sells a "semi-lightened" flywheel and RS clutch. It is about $1,800 in parts. They drop the tranny out without removing the engine.

Gert Carnewal at http://www.carnewal.com sells the clutch kit...as does mike Schatz at Schatz Motorsport in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Please note that Gert is a Rennlist sponsor.

I have the ANDIAL Light Weight flywheel and RS clutch. I replaced my dual mass flywheel (It was failing). Viken also experienced this problem. I love the results...a little quicker spin up, and absolutely 0 stalling problems.

Good luck with the project.
