As my 993 restoration/hot rod build moves along, I've been trying to figure out the love for BBS wheels on this forum. Great quality and classic looks, but not exactly lightweight. I'm trying to reduce unsprung weight where possible.
OZ Allegerita wheels are 17.8 and 20 lbs for 18X8 and 18X10 respectively. anything else out there with similar weights for a 993 2S?
BBS LM are 24 and 26lbs
RS GT 20 and 22lbs
what are the stock hollow and solid spoke weights. My car came with 2 hollow rears and 2 solid fronts

Solid turbo twists are 24.9lbs and 29.3lbs so the HLTs are a significant reduction in unsprung rotational mass that is very noticeable. It makes everything better, accel, braking & cornering.
they aren’t as strong so I swerve for potholes now.
I'm running 17" Fuchs on my 964 and the car feels more agile than my 993 on stock Cup 2 wheels. These Fuchs in the 17" version look better than the 18" version as the proportions are more correct.

@bkniep The HRE R101's will be in the 16-20 lbs per wheel range and can be built in any diameter, width, offset, and color that you desire. I helped set up a fellow Rennlister with these wheels on his 993 and he felt a big improvement on the handling sharpness of the car - especially in the front end.
