I saw a thread on an easy fix to increase the range on the 993 remote unlock system. It involved replacing a couple of capacitors. I'm pretty sure I saw it here on Rennlist and have been unable to find it? Am I having a senior moment? Can anyone direct me to that thread?

^^^ That's the thread. I was down to a few feet with fresh batteries and saw a huge improvement. The immobilizer is not easy to get to so before attempting make sure your issue isn't dirty battery contacts on the FOB circuit board, and that you have fresh battery. Also keep in mind: FOB range is spec'd in the Owner's Manual at 5m, so unless you're seeing significantly less and/or you know from experience that range has degraded it might not be worth the effort. Iv'e done a number of these for RL'rs so if you need help, let me know. Jay
