Here's a vote for S02s, I have loved every set I've had (2)...and the new Rib Pilot Sports might be decent.

I am about to give Pzeros (not rossos) a try to see how they do. General feedback is they are awesome in the dry, not as good as some others in the wet, and they wear out fast and noisily.

I'm a bit surprised that nobody has voted for the Michelin Pilot Cup Sports. Is this due to a lack of experience with these new, highly rated, relatively long-lasting R-compound tires?

I guess I read "mostly street" and thought street tires. I have driven a set of Pilot Sport Cups for 2K street miles and 2 track events and found that, while the work OK on the street, they are really too stiff. They are awesome on the track however, and some may like that ride on the street.

(Of course the 2 track events anihilated my Monroe special shocks which contributes to the cycle <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

I find that on a garage queen the michelon pilot sports are excellent. Good performance everywhere and they don't flat spot like the S03.

Just drove about 80 miles on a new set of Pilot Sport Rib tires on 18" wheels. I'm very hapilly surprised! Great steering responce, less noise and they remind me of the P-Zero assymetrico which till now was my favorite tire for the dry.
I was happy to see that the Ribs do not really follow road road grooves and lines. The jury is out on rain conditions, but I think that this tire maybe a great one for our cars. Another plus for those who are interested in these short of things is that they carry the Porsche factory approval (N1) as well...

Here's a vote for the S-03's. I've had them since June and been pretty happy with them. My street driving style is occasionally pretty aggressive (twisty roads, no traffic, yada, yada, yada), but I needed better than moderate wet weather performance as well.

I am eventually going to try to eliminate some of this annoying understeer, though, and may opt for bigger rubber up front (as Anir alluded to earlier), perhaps in some form of Pirelli tire.

Based on your driving style I would recommend the S03s simply because they come close to the P-Zero Assimetricos in performance, and will last quite a bit longer.

The best street tire with dry grip (which won't last as long as the S03s) are the P-Zero Assimetricos. These are my thoughts after owning a couple of sets of P-Zeros, reading many articles, owning S02 pole positions, and reading Rennlist for 3.5 years.

That is barely enough time to wear the mold release off.

Oh please....
Read my post please before you make a comment...
I say on the 4th line" I think this tire MAYBE a great one for our cars .

These were my initial impressions of the tires and you can usually tell a lot of things about a tire even with 80 miles on.

I've run S02s, and pilot sports, for mix of handling, wet weather and comfort, I'll go with the pilot sports- man these tires even make myn Saab feel pretty good round the corners (never tried the So3s though...)

I have a set of Falken Tires which are very good in both Dry and Wet pavement. I also have and like the Continentals and Yokohama Tires as well.
