PSS10 Camber Plate that does not increase stack height?

Default PSS10 Camber Plate that does not increase stack height?

I know PSS10s do not lend themselves well to camber plates. I have read that popular camber plates will add 20mm or so to the stack height compared to OEM strut mounts. Has anyone found a camber plate that works with PSS10s that does not increase stack height? Or, better yet, decreases stack height?

HI JEllis,
Why does it matter? Does one run out of thread to lower the spring perch on the body of the strut?
If so, could one use lowering springs, OE or other to adjust for this?

Yes camber plates on PSS10s use up the adjustment range of the coilover. They increase stack height and require the coilover collars to be spun even lower. This can cause damage to the internals of the shock as well as cause a potentially uncomfortable ride.

A camber plate that reduced stack height would have the opposite effect. Increasing the adjustment range of the collars while allowing a lower ride height while in the useable range of the shock. There are ways to mitigate the stack height problem. RS uprights, shorter coilover springs, and removing the spring tenders are all ways to get around the issue. It’s a good example of the drawbacks of some modifications. Where one modification requires another modification which requires another modification.

I use Rennline mono ***** plates at both ends with PSS10 and an FVD front coil over lowering kit and no issues, the ride is bit stiff but the car behaves very well.

Thanks for taking the time for a thoughtful reply.
Could one add a spacer between the hat and the body to shorten the overall strut stroke required? Something like this is done on the factory rear setup to adjust the height.

You need to purchase a spring plate adapter for the rear shocks. Rennline sells it . That will allow the rear shock enough clearance from crashing into the top hat.

I always thought the problems with PPS10 was not enough lowering ride height at the front.

Ah the front. On the front you need to put a thick bushing between the front spring hat and the camber plate/monoball. Since you put a thick bushing you should use a step nut as the nyloc is too thick. Rennline sells both the bushing and step nut too.

The examples I showed are mode camber plates. I think they have been copied by other folks as they all look the same.
