Removing Brake Handle Button???
I pwurchase an aluminum / carbon brake handle cover and I need to remove the Button to put the aluminum one on. Does anyone know how to remove it? Thanks <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

That is what's odd the new button screws on. It has threads on the inside so I am assuming the old one screws off. I am afraid to start twisting on it in fear of it breaking. Thanks for the help anyway.

If you look at the exploded parts drawing you can see the button (#17) screws onto the hooked connecting rod (#11). Don't have my PET CD here so can't tell for sure, but looks like #16 is a washer/spacer. If so, the button should unscrew and the spacers & spring will pop out. If #16 is a locking nut, you'd need to pull out the rod to change the button. Maybe someone w/the PET CD handy can confirm.
