Hm... which "correct" ride height would that be?

I didn't hear from Mike today, I wasn't sure if that meant it wasn't done, or if he said it'd be ready today, so there was no need to call! I do have a ride lined up to get out there Friday, so hopefully I'll see one or two of *your* cars! Did you have the coupe delivered directly to Mike? I can see that (supercharger) might be even more dangerous (supercharger) than hanging out (supercharger) at Rennlist!

I was reading about lightweight doors on Pelican: 'closes with the authority of a Dorito'... but saves major weight. Apparently the stock doors are ridiculously heavy, but lightweight doors really demand a cage for safety.

Matt, Mike has wild plans already for the car! LOL
Today he was showing me an RSR nose and lightweight doors! Before I know it I will be running in GT2... By the way he has a set of 17" cups for sale on the back of his shop...
I got the coupe today...she looks fantastic, kudos to Intercity for taking great care of it and delivering it on time. They were extremely carefull loading and unloading it. They had some really fab Ferraris, a cobra and a Van Deim racer loaded heading for the west coast...

Danny, you should've just bought the RSR he has in the shop instead of the "streeter". You'd be set! :-)

Hopefully I will see you there, I'm heading there myself shortly... Both cars are at Mike's I had the coupe delivered to him as well...

Matt...you are right! But the RSR is still not for sale...Incredible car though... You should see the other RSR he has in the back of his shop...NO blank checks for him! <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

Well, finally got my car back! If I wasn't under the weather I'd be outside washing it . Nap time for me on the couch w. the cat on my chest.

Danny, not sure where you were but Kelly & I were there for ~15 minutes about 12:30 or so. Saw *both* your 993s <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" /> , the cab was still in the middle of its alignment. Mike forgot to print out my alignment specs! This is twice I've had him align it & not get the 'after' parameters. He said it was crazy busy yesterday, he was moving too fast & forgot to print them. I told him next time I was going to stand there & supervise.

The ride height looked fine, but I am curious to measure it (that would be from the tire tread to the fender lip, right Greg?) and see just how much he raised it. Sheesh, like having your Dad do the alignment <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

I had painstakingly set the ride height at precisly halfway between RS and ROW M030. That'd be 134mm Front, 117mm Rear. I just finished measuring the height out in my garage... about three times; I was disoriented by the numbers I was getting:

L / R
F 124 / 128
R 109 / 110

Basically, textbook RS height! And he told me he'd raised it a few mm, 'just to get the corner balance right'.

I don't get it -- could the height have settled by a good 10+ mm in the 40 mile drive to his place, between installation & alignment? The lower spring perches weren't tightened down very hard, I didn't have two hook wrenches to torque them properly; still, would be surprised if they spun down that far...

I've been a little extra careful driving it (even before I measured the height) and haven't scraped it yet. Will see how this works out - Can't wait for the track thiscoming weekend! Speaking of which, Danny, how was the TWS club DE this weekend? I assume you drove the cab, not the coupe?

My suspension settled as well and it is lower than the original set. Mike knows this that is why he always insists on getting them "higher" in the first place. We were talking about that when I was asking him about your car.

The TWS DE this weekend was simply AMAZING!!!
Yes I drove the cab as the coupe is not ready. I'm waiting from Gert the new suspension for the coupe...
I tell you the TWS club is the best value for money. Driving time is simply mind boggling. You get 5 runs of 25minutes each everyday and you can get into another group if you want for another run! It is very lightly attended about 10-15 cars per group which means clean laps galore! Today we also run the short track backwards for the afternoon session!!!!! Talking about 145 at the end of the straight, hard on the brakes downshift 2 gears and dive at 85 on the S's... A religious experience...The only problem is that the track was slippery like hell at first this way as most of the new "lines" were in the marbles... I could not last all the runs I was worn out like crazy so I went home a bit earlier today!
I really loved the way the new Michellin Cups performed! What a great tire! I was running on "white" with some pretty fast company, in my group there were 3 guys I remember from my last TWS event. 2 M3's on Hoosiers, track suspension and other goodies and one S2000 on Hoosiers and highly moded. Last summer these guys were running rings around me ( Kevin remembers), this time they saw briefly on their mirrors my new RSCS nose and shortly thereafter they were checking out my new RSCS tail <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> I tell you I had a lot of guys this time "checking out" my car after each run.

That big spoiler back there did a great job keeping the back end planted nice and steady on turn 1 at 120+...
My only observation about the Cups is that it took them about 3 laps each time to come up to temp and till that time I had a lot of movement and they were quite slippery. I wonder if there is any cure for that...

You guys should really come to the TWS events! We will terorize together all these M3's
I Look forward to seeing you guys next weekend!
