Default clutch slave cylinder woes

I switched out the clutch slave cylinder and I can’t seem to get the air bubbles to stop when bleeding the line. My question is how long does it normally take for the all of the air to bleed out of the system?

FYI: The clutch pedal drops to the floor but it can be pumped to hold pressure.

any input would help.

I had air in the system just this past week (I let the reservoir get too low while bleeding the clutch slave cylinder). Using a pressure bleeder all it took was one more go at it and all the air was pushed out of the line. The system and the clutch worked perfect after that.

Have you visually recheck the slave to see if you have any fluid leaking from that area?

Are you using a power bleeder? I found that I couldn't get the air out without one. Once I hooked up the Motive bleeder, piece of cake.

Chris.

It doesn’t look like anything is leaking and I’ve had the bleeder set up from the start.

About a month ago I bled the clutch line with no problems and that is why I think I might have screwed something up when changing this thing out. Although, the procedure is pretty simple and there’s only one connection to switch over to the new slave cylinder. Should I be doing anything with the clutch pedal itself? Pumping it or anything?.
