Another DAS bar for sale
I've finally admitted to myself that my 993 daily driver will not be returning to the track, so I'm (sadly) selling my DAS bar. It's powder coated black, and saw literally one track weekend. It was completely unharmed by the lil' incident in the Kink.
Please note that I took off the outboard harness guide loops on both sides to allow my Teamtech harnesses to attach more naturally (i.e. less kinked) with GT3 seats. So, there are some grind marks from the Dremel (see pics below).
Shipping could be expensive, and I'm not sure how the powder coating would fare. Of course, we'd be happy to ship, but could also have someone pick it up from our home if they live in this region.
The first $675 gets it. buckdr1 was asking $699 for his, but it had not suffered attack of the Dremel to the outboard harness loops. I've got $1,125 in the bar ($995 for bar, $55 for harness loops, $75 for powder coating). E-mail me at adhir@qx.net

Greg,
I've thought about keeping the harnesses for another car (still would love a 993 Cup some day), but will hold them for you if I decide to sell them.

Anir,
I'm very sorry that you're selling your bar but hope your next track car is a 993 cup car.
BTW, I had FedEx Ground ship my DAS bar to me from Colorado to Maryland for a measly $34. No packaging, just the whole, raw bar.

Anir -
I just had a 944 bar shipped via Greyhound for pretty cheap, it was wrapped in carboard and came through in good cosmetic shape. Drop-off and pickup are at the bus depot, but there's even one in my podunk town.

Keith,
I'm sorry that our paths did not cross.
Mark and Ed,
Thank you for the excellent shipping suggestions!
Isn't it weird when you list something for sale and kinda hope it won't sell?

Anir,
Sorry to hear about you selling the DAS. I too have installed one this winter, so it is kinda ironic.
Good luck with the next track beast!
Keep us posted.

Anir,
Sorry to hear about the bar. I sold mine to a fellow Rennlister before I even had decided to sell it. These are hot items. You should buy a track car, then you would not have any sellers remorse...replace the bar with a car

Did Anir sell his bar? If so, I need someone to harrass me to sell mine. I am building a 944 spec racer which is way cheaper than running a 993 on the track. I need the money for medical bills which are STILL adding up each week. I can't bring myself to remove the bar from the car, but if I had someone calling me names because they needed it more than I, then I would do it. So, it's a DAS bar, sunroof version, with harness loops. Painted black with some scratches on the cross bar from putting items in and out the back seats. But, a light touch up with paint would fix that. Anybody in the local SoCal area need a bar? If I had to ship I would probably need a hand due to the weight, my neck is not ready for lifting that item yet post neck surgery. Come to think of it, I would probably need help to remove it. Better call on my mate David, remember me? I helped you install yours!
Cheers,
Dylan.

Actually, I have not sold the bar. However, I may actually D.E. the 993 again, so I plan to hold onto it for now. Sorry for being so wishy-washy, but it's hard to stay away from the track.
