Unless you are three feet tall, top down visibility is not an issue. From what I have read above, seasonally exchanging the hard and soft top are about as practicle as driving with the top down in -40F Canadian winter. That's why there are so few, if any being used.

I believe your Targa/Hardtop Cab comparison is now moot.

I am certain for the 3 months of +40F you get, the cab will feel well worth it on those days as the heater and A/C work well.
