I think next week, I am having the rear bumperettes removed. I have also thought about removing all the Paint! I,m just not too sure if I could deal with a silver car

That's why I can't do that either. Do you think I'd still have paint in my car if the result wasn't silver?!

Mike,

Did you sent me the photos?

Just wanted to say thanks!

I can't send reply to your e-mail, it always bounces back...

FF,

I thought I sent photos of the fr and rr bumper mod in progress, but I may have a case of brain fade. Anyway, I emailed them to you this AM.

No photos yet of the finished product. I installed the fogs and new (clear Gert's) signal/marker lamps yesterday. They look great. I think I'll use the clear bulb versus the amber. Appears to flash just as bright to me, at least inside under flourescent.

My email is mike.capocefalo@auburnarmature.com. Give it another try, has been working fine....

Why is everyone removing these lovely bumperettes? I'm a newbie and somewhat clueless, but don't they protect the car a bit in daily city driving and parking? Or is this a looks thing only? I would think they serve SOME purpose.

I just waxed my silver beauty and found the bumperettes to be cute, though they're not attached real well. Kind of loose, ya know? Besides, with the "ettes" at the end, I just want to say "gootcy gootchy goo" every time I see them . They're kind of darling.

My e-mail also asked you to send photos of finished car.

Thanks.

They look hidious! 50 cent rubber/plastic pieces on a $70k car. Sure helps if you're bumping on other cars at parking lots but...

Their purpose is these stupid US bumper laws, so they really don't have any real purpose.

Get rid of them!!

For me, it's not only for the looks (like Phil already noticed), it's of course, for saving weight...
