Hi Danny,
Congrats on the new car! Sounds like fun. Do you have any contact info for that fella in Kansas with the iris blue car? TIA

JD you have mail.

Robert hope to see you there, usually the TWS events are great with tons of track time. The LSR DE looks packed again... but I'll be there too!

Congrats..I wish I had one....but why did you want a 993 for a track car?? At 1350 kg (just under 3000 lb) you'll only have about 207 hp/ton. Are you planning some serious weight removal, or do you need to be pretty stock to race in a particular class.

For 180 HP and 440 kg, check out the

Westfield XTR2

I admit, I prefer the 993 too!

I love the 993 so since it had to be a Porsche looking into the future its a great base/chassis and engine.
You guys in the UK have more options and plenty of tracks around to have fun
The Westfield looks awesome...

Danny, is that ocean blue? I had my Dad's ocean blue Turbo S at the house for a few days. It's such a beautiful color, and cleans up really well.

Congrats on the coupe -- it will serve you well on the track!

I'll be out in the LSR DE next month, but I'll have to have you talk to me about the TWS club events.

Congratulations Danny, that is one beautiful car

Wow, more and more friends are getting their 2nd 993s (one for street, one for track)

I'm still trying to get a 993 again (maybe in 3 years).

Maybe you and Kim can exchange notes as you guys are somewhat in similar situation.

Congrats again Danny, be safe and have fun on the track.

Cheers

Thanks guys for the well wishes! I know I'm very fortunate to be able to do this...

Pin...you GOT to get yourself a 993...I still wonder about your withdrawl symptoms!!!

Matt that is what I have been told, I'm waiting for the car to arrive and see all the option codes etc to determine the color. It looks like a dark blue but purple from some angles. Very nice. The TWS club events are similar to the LSR in format the major difference is that there are so few cars attending you get long runs and almost the track to yourself! You are completely wiped at the end of the day... I still wonder why it is so empty all the time... I have done two events with them and they are the best value for money. Not a lot of P-Cars but all the usual suspects from the LSR including most of the instructors...
I bet if you come this weekend they will sign you up on the spot...
Hope to see you there!

Danny,

Way to go Danny!!! Looks like I've only got a few more chances to catch you on the track in the red cab before she's retired.

DJF1 - I would be interested in that high mileage car in Kansas. What's the condition of it? Books and records, mechanically sound, accidents, etc.? If you can, can you email me the contact info I would not mind a high mileage car for a cheap price, as long as service work has been done. Thanks!

Thanks Danny,

Sounds like a good deal, 80k miles ain't bad at all.

That a/c repair went down the drain I assume (no a/c in race car, right?).
Well, you can use the a/c for you cab if it's a/c breaks down.

Art I will send you the info of the seller, although Jimbob maybe right At 200K this car will need a lot of TLC. This car would be good as a second 993, more like a project car that will need to be sorted out. Count on an engine rebuilt for sure very soon. I did not pass the car through PPI as I had my sights on the one I finally got, but from what I could gather it will need engine work at least...

Kevin you got to send me this pic! I did not realize you took pictures of our cars at TWS!
I'll give you a few chances to catch me if you can Look forward to see you there
