Default FD Motorsports worthy add on? Short shifter

Hi, I have installed the fister 2 mufflers and the lower control bushings. I am 100% happy with both products and the great customer service that they have provided. Now I am bored out of my mind as I tested positive and am stuck at home. I am sick but not too bad luckily! anyway I am planning the next upgrade when I can afford it and am thinking of the “new short shifter in silver, the black 6 speed **** with white writing, the singer type trim and goldenrod. I am also thinking about the pad keeper for the falling down insulation.
Does anyone have experience with their new short shifter kit? I would like to order with my “stimulus “ check when it comes as I need another project to keep me occupied.
thanks for any help!

i have their Goldenrod on my C4 cab - its a must have mod. I don't have their short shift kit but know others who really like it. Rothsport Racing also pairs their own short shift kit with the Fister Goldenrod. both great products

I view the Golden Rod as must have, SSK less so - I have both because once you're in there why not do both?

Yes on the full SSK. Pad keeper is a great product as well - solves a very annoying cosmetic issue.

Hope you get better fast.

I looked at the Rothsport ssk and I am sure that it is fantastic. I know that fd is making really quality stuff based on my past experiences so I was thinking of trying it out.

The FD SSK is great, it's just not all that short.

I have the FDM Golden Rod and SSK. I also have the PadKeeper. All three are great additions and I highly recommend these mods.

I also have FDM mufflers and headlight protectors.

I have Function First shift ****.

I hope you recover soon and enjoy playing grown up Hot Wheels with your car mods. RC

I would also put in the function first insert in the transmission mount while you are down there.

Very satisfied with mine. Easy install and much-improved shift feel.

I had Darin install the golden rod + short shift kit 8 years ago. It remains the best mod I've done to my 993 Cannot recommend enough.

Not sure how their offering may have changed since that time.

Edit: Forgot to mention the Stage II!

I believe that FDM offers a similar bushing insert...

Golden Rod, SSK, Stage lll’s, headlight/fog light film from FDM...and the F1st tranny inset here. Happy customer.

I've had the Goldenrod & SSK on my car for about 5 years and still feel it was the most bang for the buck to date. As others have stated the throw isn't short and notchy like a Miata, but its short enough and feels fantastic.

I have the FD ssk and GR. They were installed by Rothsport. Both are terrific, although the ssk only shortens by about 25%.
Rothsport's ssk is for 2-wheel drive, not 4-wheel (per Jeff Gamroth). Their ssk if you have a 2-wheel drive is more efficient(Jeff)
