Default Pics of my lowered 95' NB with Bilstein HD/H&R's

Finally had the Bilstein HD/H&R combo done yesterday and I am very happy with the results both cosmetically and functionally. Definitely a more controlled ride around large sweepers without the annoying bounciness of the old Monroes. I was quite surprised with the ride comfort as well, not at all jarring like I thought they would be, especially with the 18's. If you're thinking about your suspension, I'd highly recommend this combo.

Before: 26 1/2 fronts
26 1/4 rears

After: 24 3/4 all around

Really nice! What is the ride height in terms of RS, ROW, etc? I don't know how the number translates into these various heights.

Car looks very low in the pic, did you get a FPB as well?

fbfisher,

It is very close to RS spec. In fact, the mechanic had suggested RS spec but I wanted to be a few millimeters higher for the real world. It is, however, still very low. So far, I haven't had any scrapes, and I can get up and down my driveway without any problem. Gert's FPB goes on first thing tomorrow morning, barring any child catastrophe.

Jeff, your car looks just fantastic! Thanks much for taking the time to post follow-up pictures and measurements. Great news about the ride quality, too. All these data points are very useful for everybody not only today, but for the archives as well.

Sounds like eveything went well at the shop too, which is something I am definitely going to keep in mind as I look for a "mechanical home" for my 993.

The only problem is that my car now seems more like a Hummer than ever after seeing these great pictures of your lowered beauty! Can't wait to give mine similar treatment.

Congratulations and enjoy!

Since this is the exact combo I'm thinking of, let me ask this - how exactly is ride hight adjusted? I thought that it's a fixed height setup.

Looks GREAT!!! I have the same setup on my '95 cab, but, with 19" Mille Miglias...and Dunlop SP 9000 235/35-ZR19's front and 275/35 rears... PO had it done prior to my purchase last December. So far so good!!!

That looks great! It looks really low, though. FPB as soon as possible.

Did you have it aligned and corner balanced after installation?

If so, would you mind sharing those numbers, too?

Enjoy!

JDoc7.......... Same from Kaueth & Mayeur... super service and great work. Car is a blast to drive with the 18" and new supspension. Need to retain a lawyer for anticipated speeding violations.

Mike Always Wins - I would love to see pics of your car and read your impressions of ride quality and cab flex issues with this set up.
