Clutch squeak (not pedal squeak)
I was cleaning the interior of my car and I was about to put the gear on 1st and when I stepped on the clutch pedal I heard a squeak coming from the rear (not from the pedal).
You can't hear it with the engine's running.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Ron
PS: I've got WD40 and ready to pull the trigger.

That is the typical symptom of a failing slave cylinder. I had mine replaced about 10k miles ago. Other symptoms include the "hanging pedal". Mine squeeked, but did not hang up.
Circa $300 if I remember correctly.

Sorry, lastly, I remember my mech. mentioning something about the brake fluid lubricating the cable. I am not too sure about this. I had my fluid replaced at the same time, so I might be confusing the two.
When did you replace the fluid last?
