Post SoCal Ding Repair (Not surfboards, Porsche cars)

I incurred 2 little dings when my Colgan Bra came undone at 90 mph a while back (Spare me the bra jokes!). I have been living with these dings for a few months and it is driving me nuts!

I went by Deshler's Quality Collision Repairs in Orange, CA to see what it was going to cost to get the car back to pristine; I was expecting the worst, repaint the quarter panel, or some other such very expensive news.

Tim Deshler, the owner (He has established a reputation amongst very picky Porsche owners for doing incredible work), inspected the car and told me, no problem. Just bring the car by on Mondays (with an appointment) and the Ding Repair guy will pop out the dings. In looking at the car, Tim found two (2) other door dings I had not seen before..they too will be history soon. Re the slight paint chip, Tim said he could match up the paint and air brush this away.

If you ever need bodywork or paint in SoCal, or God forbid, you need your tub straightened, or should want a ding repaired, Deshler's is the place to strongly consider: Deshler Quality Collision Repairs, 1133 W. Taft, Orange, CA 92865 714 998 9256

PS About 6 months ago, I had Performace Products sway bars installed that were difficult to fit and connect. One of the drop links had to be extended, and a inch of front spring cut to make the car balance withing specs. I was not real pleased with this approach. The installer told me it was because the car had been hit, it was tweeked. I found this hard to believe since nothing came up on the PPI about any prior collision damage. I intended to get to the bottom of this and asked around for the best frame/tub straightening shop in SoCal. Deshler's was the name that kept coming up.

So off to see Tim Deshler I went. Tim put my car up on the rack and inspected it for any prior history of collision damage or tub misalignment. He spent about 20 minutes taking me through every nook and cranny of my car looking for prior collision damage...he found none, what a relief..that is when I decided I would get rid of these bars and install factory, M030 RoW suspension.

If you are doing a PPI, I recommend a good body and frame shop such as Deshler's to check the car out, as well as a Repair Shop for the mechanicals.

Enough chatter for today...I am going to enjoy my Sunday!!!
