I'm considering getting some Fikse wheels (or some other light weight rims) and was considering sending my turbo twists in as a partial exchange.
What's the general thought on the board - will aftermarket wheels detract from the resale value?
I've kept all other stock parts so that I have the otion of returning the car to stock upon sale (if I ever even sell it...). Am I being penny wise and pound foolish?
TIA

I've found through the sale of my previous 2 Porsches that aftermarket wheels do not matter one way or another, unless the buyer is looking for your exact set up.
The way I look at it is if I sell my car and the buyer will not give me a premium for my wheels, I'll buy a set of twists through ebay and put them on the car.

If I found a car with the exact aftermarket wheels I wanted, I'd probably pay a premium of about 50% of the price of the wheels assuming they were in good condition and that the seller had the stock rims - if no stock rims I'd pay maybe 25-30% more.
