I received my book but I haven't opened it yet. I am planning to give it to myself for Chanukah, because my family rarely gets me anything (which is actually fine with me, but sometimes I buy myself stuff). Can't wait. :-)

My family got my specific wishes for X-mas gifts in 2019: Gun´s n Roses in Hamburg, June 2020, and Queen + AL Munich June 2020. We´ll see what happens...!
best,
Andreas

Ferry Porsche died on 27 March 1998 in Zell am See.
It was on the same day that the last air-cooled engine for the Porsche 993 was built in Stuttgart Zuffenhausen.
One of Ferry Porsche's last cars was his dark green 993 Cabriolet with its dark brown interior.
While I was working on the book about the last air-cooled 911, it quickly became clear whose name would feature in the dedication.
The design of the book was likewise inspired by Ferry Porsche’s 993 Cabriolet: the colour chosen for the cover was fir green, with coffee brown for the endpaper.
The Porsche 993 marked the end of a 50-year era during which Porsche kitted out its sports cars with air-cooled engines.
And no other model would have been as worthy of bringing this period to a close as the 993.
The authors were eager to create a little memorial to this fascinating sports car to mark its 25th anniversary.
