'96 993TT at Montecito Motors
Anyone know anything about the Midnight Blue '96 TT at Montecito Motors?
<a href="http://www.montecito-motors.com/Inventory/PORSCHE/96-911-twin-turbo/96-911-twin-turbo.html" target="_blank">http://www.montecito-motors.com/Inventory/PORSCHE/96-911-twin-turbo/96-911-twin-turbo.html</a>
I think they're Santa Barbara, CA. They've had the car for a while, and are asking $64,888 now.
Thanks,
Craig

Thanks,
I know the car has had some body and paintwork.
In fact, here's what I've been told about the car (I received this email back in October and decided at the time not to pursue the car).
"The car is very nice. The left rear quarter and bumper were repainted due to a recent minor
parking lot mishap. The car has had two owners. The first through 8000 miles, the last through 38,000 both here in Ca.
The last service was done at Schneider Autohouse, the best Porsche shop in Santa Barbara.
The clutch, brakes, engine were all checked. It has new tires and the A/C blows cold.
The lower front bumper has very light stone chipping."
I've been told it also has a new clutch. I've asked them to fax me the repair receipts for the body work, and haven't heard back. I'll give them a call tomorrow to follow up.
So, it's 40K miles (close to it anyway), has had paintwork (hopefully done right). It's a 96 without many options. Somewhere 60-62.5K seems like a good retail price these days.
The hard question is trying to decide whether I want to hold out for the pristine '97 with 25K miles and sport seats.
Anyway, thanks to both of you for your offers. I'll contact you directly if I decide I'm ready to start getting serious about this particular car.
