Default Need some input...

Hey all,
I am looking forward to my next project. I am starting to like what Max did for me in his perspective. Should I lower it first or can I upgrade to turbo twists first? Please advise
Max, How about some 18 inch turbo hollow spoke wheels?

Always a dilemna, should I go for the cosmetic mods or should I go for the performance mods? Ask yourself this, do you want your car to look "tight" or feel "tight"?

Either one first. Good luck.

I might be looking to sell a set of twists in perfect shape, if you decide to go that route first.

Tom,

A year ago I was in the same dilemma you are in and opted to go with a lower and better suspension (PSS-9's) before I bought my fancy Fikse wheels. My stock suspension was blown and, since I planned on tracking the car, upgrading the suspension before switching from 17" to 18" wheels was an obvious choice.

Hey Tom,

I'd suggest doing the suspension first. This will make SUCH a difference in the way your car handles. Go with quality components like H&R/Bilstein HD combo, PSS9's, ROW M030/Bilstein, etc. After you see how the car rides after this mod, you can then decide if you want to upgrade to 18" wheels which are going to add (slightly) to the firmness of the ride.

Just my 2 cents. I did the suspension on my car 'first' because I already had the 18" wheels, so this was easy for me.

Regardless, when you do the suspension, you are in for quite an improvement. I drive my car so much more now that the suspension is set up right.

Your car really looks great Tom.

Tom,

I went through the same thoughts myself, but decided I'd rather have the funtional improvement before any aesthetic enhancements. And if you track the car, it's a no-brainer. Funny thing though, now that my car is at RS height, I really have grown to love the 17"Cups, and even prefer them to the Turbo Twists. A "personal" thing, to be sure, but lower your car and live with it for a while. You'll really like the difference (I can't stop myself from oogling at my own car at a distance, but I'm sick!).

Edward
Actually, I'd really love to have a set of RS-look rims. But that's another story...
