My car has two (2) existing key fobs original to my car. Can I add two (2) new key fobs to my car? As far as programming, can I program the two (2) new key fobs so that once programmed, any of the four (4) key fobs will function identically?

I have read your key fob procedure 11-2.pdf and although the system supports up to four (4) fobs, it appears that for the entire group to work identically, the final step in your procedure must be performed on the original fobs as well as the new fobs.

Yes,
As a failsafe, if one does not complete the process and get to the point at the end where one is pressing all the fob buttons, new and old, to mate the fobs the entire programming session is aborted and your existing fobs should still work.
I am adding one (1) additional fob in my car in case I lose my keys.
I keep an extra fob and fob battery in my frunk with the owner's manual in case of a fob failure while on the road and I don't want to jump through a key turning process just to drive my car home. I would recommend that other 993 owners consider this as a backup, much like keeping a spare DME relay on board. Andy
My 94 build 993 does not have a fob, but it does have stickers on the quarter windows about an alarm. I have done all sorts of dumb stuff like letting the battery die, but it always starts on the key. Did it originally have a fob? (Please say no).

I hide a spare key in a magnetic weatherproof case under my car.
In addition to the spare key, I also keep a spare fob and a spare fresh fob battery in my glove compartment.
If I lose my key and fob, I have a back-up key, fob and a spare fob battery.
