While trying to find a bio on Bernd Rosemeyer, I came across this site. I think many of you will find some very interesting reading.

Did you know that Tazio Nuvolari once broke both legs in practice before a motorcycle race, then had his mechanics tie him to his bike for the race that he eventually won?

Great stuff

Read Enzo Ferrari's description and discovery of 4 wheel drift while riding with Nuvolari.

Thank you for the great trivia. I absolutely love that stuff. I find Porsche history to be very interesting. Too bad they did not offer that as a course in College.

By the way, love the avitar. The Auto Union still amazes me. I think that it may be one of Porsches greatest achievements.

Fabulous! I love historical anecdotes from the old racing greats... Those early racers either had no fear, or were very good at ignoring it.

I had to dig a bit to find the 4-wheel drift article- for others who want to check it out, browse to: http://www.ddavid.com/formula1/art_of_driving.htm
