Sure. I collect cars. '70 442 convertibles and my 993. As cars age, it becomes more difficult to keep them original. The 993 keys heads are no longer available. Porsche, Pelican and Suncoast sell key fobs with colored crests compared to silver crests that are original to our car. The crests are not interchangeable. The new key heads also have an LED light, which is much brighter and far superior to the original key head bulbs.
I have bought several additional original key heads. I also buy the parts photographed in my post #26. I also enjoy building the original keyheads with available spare parts.
I try to keep my 442's and my 993 original.
Some couldn't care less while others may care. It's a matter of preference. I'm ok either way regardless of anyone's choice.
PS: I am still looking to purchase the parts identified in post number 26.
