I owned a 993 C2 tiptronic back in 2000. Although I enjoyed the car, I never really bonded with it. I felt the tiptronic transmission made the driving feel a bit bland. Fast forward to last month. I wanted to get back into an air-cooled 911. I was looking at both 964 or 993. That's when I came across this 993 C2 and bought it on the spot.
Nothing much about this car is stock. It was originally a tiptronic car that had a 6-speed manual gearbox swap along with RS lightweight flywheel and OS Giken LSD. It also has full Aragosta coil-overs, Brembo 6-piston brakes, Tubi exhaust, BBS E88 18" wheels as well as some various RS aero and interior bits. It also had a full repaint to GT Silver. I think it was the color that sealed the deal for me. I also have a GT Silver Cayman GT4 and absolutely love this color.
Anyways, I look forward to reconnecting with this forum. Here's some pics of the 993 and its stablemates.
