Default Help with Power Top Issue

I have a 1997 993 Cab. Beginning this morning, when I pressed the button to lower the top, the latches automatically unlatched then top started to lift, just a fraction of an inch or so after the latches unlatched....then everything stopped. I let go of the dash switch then depressed it again and the top continued lowering as normal. It went back up and latched closed just fine. Then it repeated the exact same symptom each time I tried to lower it. It would unlatch, start to open, stop.....then if I would release and repress the switch it would open just fine. I dis this 5-6 times with the same issue each time. Anyone else experience this? What was the issue..

PS: Tonight on the way home from work, it lowered with no issue. Odd.

I read somewhere a while back that the roof control module suffering solder cracking on the circuit board. An easy and cheap fix. The cracks should be visible, just heat it up with your soldering tool and your back in business.
