Default Caliper Painting/Refurb Vendor

Does anybody have a recommendation for a quality vendor for stripping, painting, stickering, then clear coating a set of 993 calipers? Wheel Dynamics (wheeldynamics.com) had a presence here for awhile but I cannot get in touch with them.

Thanks!

I'm currently having a 993 set done by Chris NYE @ SR Powdercoating. He's done many 993 calipers- good guy, excellent pricing, and he spends lots of time on the strip and prep work.. He's in New Hampshire.

I would stay away from WheelDynamics. I had a horrible experience of poor quality, poor communication and poor customer service with them. My caliper finish is still not perfect. It was a 5 month ordeal. Search the internet and you will find similar reviews.

+1^
I DIY my own caliper rebuild & refinish, but tried to go to WD for tire dismount, mount & balance. A huge waste of time and energy.

Wheel Enhancement gets my business, (not that they do caliper refinishing), while WD sucks!

I'm having SR Powdercoating do the finishing, and then I will do the rebuild of the pistons and seals... While he was at it, I also had him Ceracote the exhaust tips in black... Here's a shot of the calipers after they were stripped down and cleaned up, prior to powder coating..

These calipers are anodized. I would personally stay away from any method that removes this protective coating unless they are re-anodized prior to painting. PMB is the only place that I contacted that knew this - the reason I am going with them.

I'm surprised to hear you guys powder coating calipers-- I always understood this to be a major no-no, since if the car is ever tracked the coating will get ruined. Or so I've heard.

I've seen some calipers change a slight color under extreme track use - I've had many calipers powder coated with excellent results. There is some thought that powder coating may retain the heat within the caliper but I have yet to see actual scientific testing confirming this theory. However I have always liked the anodized caliper with colored Brembo.

I had Ruben paint my calipers, when he replaced my evaporator, Clutch and installed a LWF. He now has a full up shop: http://everyonesgarage.com/about.html
so I would think you could send him your calipers.

My calipers didn't need any refurb, but Ruben is certainly qualified to also do that. I just had him paint and clear coat them. Been almost 6 years since I had them done, and they look perfect (though I've put less than 10,00 miles on the car since then)

I've powder coated a couple pairs, and never had a problem.. Even with high temps at the track..
