"... Miss Croatia of Los Angeles contest some years back... "
That makes the doled out punishment even more desirable!

Hey, that was a Loooooooong time ago..... I don't look quite the same as I did then, but who does??? And the writer of that particular article for Reiser-Callas got it wrong anyway. I was Miss Croatian National Association of Los Angeles 1976. Guess that was too much to write....

Believe me, I love wearing Nomex a WHOLE LOT more than I loved wearing a crown!!

JoAnne

PS: Do not be afraid of your Hot Wheels track unless you do something bad

Thank you fellow team mates. I really worked my butt off with Reiser-Callas, but it was the best most fun and rewarding job I ever had. I worked with top drivers, had a GREAT crew and I had two bosses that I loved. I really, really, miss the feeling of getting to the track at 6:30 in the morning, being the first to unzip the tent, taking in the smells of the grease, tranny fluids, rubber etc. (better than Chanel No.5), telling the Cars 'Good Morning' and gathering up the team to head on to Brekafast together at the Caterers tent. I miss the day of the race itself, with all the last minute preparations and shouting to each other over the radio to make sure the drivers had their water bottles in the car (never fails... someone would ALWAYS let me down, heck I couldn't go over the wall once the race started, could I!!!??). Ah and I REALLY miss the fun we'd have after the races at the hotels when all the teams would get together for drinks. I had a heck of a 40th Birthday Party in Toronto. Was feeling pretty darn sick all the way to the airport the next day. Too many Martini's and Cosmo's I guess.....

Yup, I really miss it, but I do love being with my Hubby all the time. I barely saw him while with Reiser-Callas. Retirement has its good points too...

You guys are great..... now you have me really going down memory lane.
You all deserve a spanking for this!!!!

JoAnne

PS:
Harry... No younger sisters, Only Brothers. How do you think I ended up this way. I didn't have a Barbie doll until Robert bought me one to put in my pink Barbie Porsche with the working lights!

Rockitman... I like you already and you will never get the paddle from me.
Robert is a 'head' too. He stopped counting when he went to his 400th Dead show! But he IS old!!!
