Default Brake System - Wiring Diagram (help plz)

Folks,

My car continues to be down for the count due to a lack of brake boost. My indy says a wiring diagram would help. Does anyone have a PDF of the wiring diagram that pertains to the braking system? Note: I'm not a mechanic so if I'm asking this question in a way that doesn't make sense bear that in mind. Just trying to help my guys so maybe my car gets back up and running a little sooner.

Thanks.
Tim

So clearly your shop doesn't have access to the Repair Manual. That should terrify you.

Someone might post the simple schematic but that will do little good compared to the 64 surrounding pages of troubleshooting and repair procedures. My humble suggestion is to obtain it and give the shop a printout of those 65 pages.

Private message me with your regular email address and I will send you the PDF. Easy to read and understand and all the related lamps are on the same page.
I don't think the brake booster is electrically related on our cars.

Your profile says you have a C4S. C4S, C4, and turbos have a different system than rwd. There's a high pressure pump, pressure switch, relays, and nitrogen bulb where one or more can cause a braking problem. For me both the switch that's attached to the pump and the nitrogen bulb were bad. My mechanic warned this system is under very high pressure when working, and needs to be properly bled after reassembly, so dont tinker with it. If your mechanic hasn't done this before, do you want him to learn on your car.

First question, does the pump run when you first start the car. If not, start there.

I was thinking that the OP Tim was speaking of his car being down (out of service) due to the booster. I was thinking the brake booster not the ABS/traction management system. If the ABS/Traction management system is down the car can still be driven safely so I didn't think that is what he was speaking of.
Tim can you provide guidance in this regard.

Rock hard pedal. Car still stops but requires significant pressure from foot/leg. There's no power assist/boost. I think this has nothing to do with ABS/traction management. I think it's an issue w/ the brake booster. Either a bad one or bad electrical. We'll see.

Andy - your PM's are much appreciated.

Update: Folks - thanks to everyone who helped (I got a number of great PMs in addition to the comments above). The issue appears resolved. It was a faulty brake pressure switch. I'm very happy to have my car back in action.
