Default 1995 C2 Coupe

I’ve recently listed my car on the PCA site:

https://www.pca.org/classified-ad/335825

Plan to list it on the Rennlist for sale section soon after I take more pics and write a thoughtful ad.
In the meantime, I thought I’d share it with the 993 forum members in case anyone is interested.
Cheers!

Very nice. Did you install the 993 turbo fan, or a previous owner?

Off topic; but, is there an advantage to running the turbo fan as compared to the standard one?

From Jason Andreas...
The later NA 964 and 993 share the same fan, Porsche part no. #964-106-015-31 and the turbo engines (964 3.6T & 993TT) use part no. 964-106-015-21. The 964 model years prior to 1992 used a different fan and that would require some additional mounting hardware to get it to work with your 993 so be careful buying used. The 964 3.3T with different cooling requirements(?) also used a different fan.

Not sure. But I thought it was purely aesthetic.

I feel like I've read that the turbo, straight-bladed, version moves more air. But from memory, its diameter is less than the NA 993 fan. So running a turbo fan in a NA housing would mean additional clearance between blade ends & housing. Probably not optimal.

very nice. Good luck with the sale. Is this a Rasant chip on your motronic or using an aftermarket ecu like motec or AEM?

I am piqued a bit regarding the fan. Will count the fan blades and check receipt and post p/n.

Thank you. I believe Rasant chip is plug-n-play to existing ECU. Essentially ECU tune. From ECU doctors.
Here: https://www.ecudoctors.com/porsche-9...ning-chip.html
I bought the car and it included an EVOMS tune. Liked it. But, ECU Doctors performed immobilizer removal (immobilizer failed) instead of installing new immobilizer. As a result, the EVOMS tune was removed/erased and they simply gave me their tune in its place. Best explanation I can give. I can't tell the difference between the prior EVOMS and the Rasant. The car runs nicely.
