Bumperette removal front and rear
Everyone,
My 1997 C2 is at the body shop having the bumper cover holes patched (front and rear) where the much maligned (rightfully so) were.
Hopefully I was successful in posting a few pictures of the process. I should have the car back in a day or two and will post some photos of the finished product.
I bought the new "Euro" clear from lenses from Gert and will probably use the amber lamp.
The rear aluminum pieces that protrude through the bumper covers come off with a Dremel tool with a carbide blade. Just saw along the underside and they fall off. What remains does not protrude beyond the rear bumper cover.
Should look great when its done.

I would be intersted in seeing the pics too. However, I was advised by a well respected shop that the filler material does not always expand at the same rate as the bumper material, leading to "waviness" at certain temperatures..
