Default Body-color engine grill and bumperettes

I'm sure this has been done before, but just noticed the C2 that ends on BaT today has its engine grill and bumperettes painted body color.

Looks good, I may have to do that.

I am not a fan of the body colored bumperettes.

I fitted an S Grille on my Carrera had it painted Arctic Silver to match..

I do have the original Grille, so might have it painted too in case / when I revert back..! Looks good..

Yeah, maybe just the grill.

I wouldn't do either. But I'm kind of a stock guy unless there's a compelling reason to deviate. Ex - while I like the 996 wheels on this car, I couldn't do it to mine.

That's a nice looking car/auction. Looks like someone is going to get a cool car.

I like the rear painted bumperettes. Not the front

I feel the same way about the painted bumperettes and unless it's a split grill, it looks too much like a 996 grill if painted.

Painted bumperettes draw more attention to them, IMO. Don't care for it.

The proper solution is euro bumpers.

I went with the Euro Turbo front bumper, and had the rear bumperettes painted. Something about the Euro rear bumper with US style plates doesn't quite look right to me.

Just do what everyone around here seems to do, later the US plate over a fake EU plate to make your car seem extra exotic. That or get one of those plate frames that includes mounting points old school grill badges on either side of the US plate

I painted the grill on my engine lid but I deleted the bumpers on the front.

Of course I like both of these changes better than stock, but to each his own

Sorry for the OT, but wondering where did you get the red "S" for your rear 4S badge? Or did you just painted it? if so, what kind of paint?

What he said^^. I have an identical C4S with same Euro front bumper. Also curious how front plate is mounted, and if rear bumperettes were coated as they look shinier than mine.
